Our Transportation and Stormwater Group completed multiple innovative Capital Improvement Projects in FY23. Some examples of our completed projects: a highly visible and popular streetscape project in Englewood, a pedestrian bridge for the residents of Pinecraft, a large surface water storage project, Albee Road Bridge Repair, multiple resurfacing projects throughout the County, and the South Siesta Key Beach Repair. Currently we are managing the design of several sidewalks and MURT projects, an historic bridge replacement project, road widening and intersection improvements including roundabouts, 3 overpasses along the Legacy Trail Extension, several park improvements and 2 large scale innovative stream restoration projects. Candidates that have knowledge, skills and abilities with the project management of planning, designing, review and /or construction of transportation projects are highly encouraged to apply. The Project Manager will manage professional services contracts and will work under the general direction of a Technical Manager or Operational Manager. Up to $2,000 relocation is available for those moving 50+ miles to join the premier community where people choose to live, work, and play! Capital Project Planning Support CIP Planning Design Project Management Day-to-day interface with owner/owner’s representative Support During Construction Coordinate the preparation of construction bid documents, including technical specifications Environmental and Mitigation Consulting and Implementation Responsible for coordinating the review or consultant submittals for compliance with local regulations, land development regulations, and other pertinent County policies, State, and/or Federal policies. Review traffic, stormwater, and environmental impacts About You Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field. Project Manager II / Administrator: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field. Project Manager III / Administrator: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or highly related field with five (5) years of engineering and/or project management experience. Preferred Qualification: Three (3) or more years of experience in project management or capital improvement project management. Job Competencies: Excellent oral and written communication skills, project management and computer programs proficiency.
