ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations – The salary range for the position is $89,742.16 - $134,616.77. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining.
- Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hour work week) , Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
- Environment – While performing the essential functions of the job the employee is primarily required to work in a typical office setting, use standard office equipment, read printed materials and a computer screen and communication in person and over the telephone. Works in an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changed in weather or discomfort associated with noise, dust, dirt, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a closely related field.
- Four (4) years of professional engineering experience in the applicable area of responsibility (Engineering Services, Development and Flood Control, Technical Services, Water/Wastewater or Transportation Services), preferably in a public agency.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada state driver’s license, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada. If registered in another state must obtain Nevada registration within one (1) year of hire/reclassification. Registered Professional Architect in State of Nevada. If registered in another state must obtain Nevada registration within one (1) year of hire/reclassification. (Public Works, Engineering Services candidates only).
- Certification through the Association of State Floodplain Managers Certified Floodplain Manager Program required within one (1) year of hire/reclassification. (Development and Flood Control Division candidates only)
